concentration of debris deposited by lake on right side of beach
Storm on 24th July, strong winds and waves concentrated the debris in the right corner of the beach. The majority of material was plastic sac and wrapper remnants in various states of decomposition.

a little help from a local, she sampled the Styrofoam & decided it wasn't edible

The majority of this plastic was removed from the water
inventorying

138 cig butts
usual suspects: q tips, water filter, shotgun shells, bottle caps and bits of plastic.

The majority of cig butts were highly degraded indicating extended time in lake before deposition.
various polystyrene fragments, bottle caps and straw remnants

Larger quantity than usual of hard plastic fragments and plastic sac and wrappers, highly degraded and appears to have been in the lake for an extended period.

English tourists interested in our beach cleaning efforts commented on their surprise at how polluted Switzerland has become,"in England it is normal but we expected Switzerland to be cleaner."
